TEST TITLE: P-100 Pump in tandem deep water dewatering exercise on scaffolding on DCETF
Test #6
OBJECTIVE / Test set-up criteria: Dewatered flooded space using P-100 rigged in tandem. First pump (pump A) is taking suction from space, discharging into second pump (pump B) with a height of 30 feet above flooded compartment. The compartment B-1 was filled with about 5 6 of water equal to 1320 gallons and left with 1' (240gal.) of water for a total of 1080 gallons pumped.
DESCRIPTION OF TEST - RESULTS: This test utilized the P100 tandem/Perijet eductor combination with a 4 by 3 reducer on the discharge of the Perijet and NON-collapsible hose used on the discharge of the Perijet vice the 4 collapsible hose. (Note: 3 non-collapsible hose must be used on the suction side of the P100 taking suction in space, between the upper and lower P100, and was also used on the Perijet discharge.) Discharge pressure for pump A - 80 PSI, pump B 40 PSI, time to dewater was 4:12 with a combined discharge of 256 gallons per minute. This test was ran twice to verify the results and had the same end result.

RECOMMENDATIONS: If the ship has enough 3 hard rubber hoses to use with the P100 pump tandem and for the Perijet eductor, it is recommended that this set up be used for maximum results.
