Description: (72” x 24” when deployed; 24” x 12” x 5” stowed) Extraction Litter, capable of transporting patients with minimal patient movement within the litter; nylon construction. Immobilizes patient and allows patients to be hoisted both vertically and horizontally through the narrow passages on board US Navy vessels. One (1) vertical lift point. Four (4) horizontal lift points for helicopter hoist capability. Ten (10) padded carry handles that allow personnel to maneuver stretcher through the narrowest of openings. Removable Velcro head-securing blocks Adjustable head and chin-securing strap. Chest and arm-securing flap with Velcro. Leg-securing flap with Velcro. Spine board compartment for adding strength and rigidness of board. Chest and leg straps with buckles. Payload of up to 1500 lbs w/ spine board or 500 lbs w/o spine board

 

USE: Used in emergencies to evacuate injured personnel.

 

USE TIP: Provided by Medical Department.
