SHIPBOARD FIRE PREVENTION AND FIRE MARSHAL INSTRUCTION template for USCG Cutters

A template has been updated for the Cutters to use to develop their Shipboard Fire Prevention and Fire Marshal Instruction INST 11320.1A to satisfy the requirements mandated by the Cutters Organizational Manual, COMDTINST M5400.15. Additionally the template serves as a ready resource for newly commissioned cutters to create and sustain an effective fire prevention program.

This template promulgates the standards, expectations, and procedures to be followed by all hands aboard Cutters in the prevention, identification and removal of shipboard fire hazards.  Specifically, the duties and responsibilities of Cutter’s Fire Marshall and Duty Fire Marshalls are contained herein.
